#1 Baroda Founders Wine Cellar

Not all wine is the same, and at Baroda Founders Wine Cellar, you taste the difference between “real” wine and the stuff you find at the store. Their wine selection ranges from classical varietal to fruit-flavor enhanced as well as mouthwatering dessert wines infused with delectable chocolate.

For only $8, you get 5 wine samples including a free tasting of their delectable dessert wine. This is a great place to have a girl’s night, take someone on a date, or have a big party. Reservations are only required if there are more than 8 people. Groups over 25 will have to schedule on a weekday.

Vineyards

#2 Dablon Vineyards-Winery and Tasting Room

I love this wine bar because each Sunday, they have special events that make this wine tasting experience a fun one. From live music by the Backsliders to live music by Steadfast, you will be jamming through your wine glasses.

Dablon Vineyards is a popular tasting room for both tours and private groups, so if you have more than 7 going with you, you will need to make a reservation. You can relax with a glass of wine on the patio overlooking the vineyard, grab a spot in front of the fireplace or head to the tasting bar for a little soul searching.

Get 5 tastings for only $15 and $7 off your first bottle of wine! Crackers are provided to cleanse the palate after each tasting.

Wine Tasting

#3 Gravity

When you visit Gravity, you are quite literally taken into the vineyards and inviting landscape so you can taste and take the vineyard home with you. From casual conversations to teaching you the intricates in wine design, the staff takes pride in making every visit fun for everyone!

Select any 5 wines to taste for only $10. Of course, when you come on Sundays from 2-5 p.m. you get a little more than you bargained for. Gravity hour, live music is from May 27th until September 30th. So, take advantage of some great wine, live music, and amazing hospitality.

Glass of Rose

#4 Lake Michigan Vintners

With a 5.0 rating out of 5, Lake Michigan Vintners is a must-see while in Baroda! In fact, they believe that the Southwest Michigan Wines found here can rival even the greatest wines of the world. From dry white wine to sweet dessert wine, you are in for a real treat. If you are into fine wine and a lot of fun, this is the place to be.

Here are just a few of the wines I would suggest:

  • Chardonnay
  • Rose’
  • Waters’ Edge
  • Wavelength White
  • Vin Doux

Along with fine wine, you can also visit the winery during special events. Each month has something special, but you will have to tune in to their website to find out what.

Red Top Wine

#5 Red Top Winery

Prepare to be surprised when you visit Red Top Winery. Their wines, ciders, and the way you experience them will not be like any other winery you have been to. Wine tasting is only $12 per person.

Because they age some of their wines and ciders in barrels that were used for bourbon, rum, tequila, or cognac, your wine is going to be surprisingly different. Some wines are interestingly co-mingling with jalapenos, peaches, cinnamon, and pineapples. So, you never quite know what to expect.

On top of unique tasting wine, Red Top makes your experience great with reggae music, outdoor seating, and places for picnics. So, if you want to have a unique experience, this is the place to mingle.
Round Barn Winery

#6 Round Barn Winery

As the name suggests, you will be getting your square dance on in the big Round Barn Winery! Whether you want to sip a cool brew on the lawn or toast to a special event, the Round Barn is just what you need. With special events and live music, you will have to keep an eye out for what’s in store.

From wine, spirits, and beers, you can have a little taste of everything. What’s great about the Red Barn is that you can even sit down and eat with your drink.

Upcoming in May will be the Sangria Event, Jammin’ in the Vineyard, and Island Spirit Party. So, get your party shoes on and head out to the Red Barn Winery.

#7 Domaine Berrien Cellars

Located on 80 acres of farmland, Domaine Berrien Cellars is in the heart of the scenic Lake Michigan Shore Wine Country. With their careful attention to detail and impeccable winery skills, each glass you taste is sure to make your tastebuds scream for more.

Wine tasting is only $10 per person and includes a memorable souvenir wine glass. Bring the dog, your own food, and some soft drinks to enjoy a picnic in the picturesque vineyards of Berrien Cellars.

Don’t forget to check the events calendar to find out when all the fun is happening. From village fests to art and wine music festivals, there is always something going on at Domaine Berrien Cellars.
