What You Need for this Cocktail
- 1.5 oz Coconut rum
- 0.5 oz Tequila
- 0.5 oz Cherry cordial liqueur
- 3 oz Sprite
- 1 tsp. Silver cake shimmer
- 1 tsp. Grenadine
- Cherries and mint to garnish
What is Cherry Cordial Liquor?
Cherry Cordial Liquor is what gives this unicorn cocktails its sweet and delicious taste. This liquor is made with fruits and vodka or rectified spirits, typically. If you can’t find Cherry Liquor, however, there are a few ways you can substitute it.
- Cherry Vodka
- Heavy syrup from a can of cherries (less alcohol)
- Cherry Brandy
- Cherry juice
How Much Alcohol is in One?
Let’s face it; this unicorn cocktail is right up there with a Long Island. With Coconut rum, Tequila, and Cordial Liquor, you are putting 3-different alcohols into one glass. Altogether, you are looking at 2.5 shots of alcohol in one drink. A Long Island has around 3.5 shots. So, if you are little bit of a light-weight, make sure you drink it slowly. Otherwise, you may end up on the floor!
How to Make a Unicorn Blood Cocktail
This Unicorn Blood Cocktail is super easy to make. Just follow the steps below to feel like you have the blood of unicorn!
Step 1: Fill the glass with ice
Fill your glass about 3/4 of the way full with ice.
Step 2: Use a bar shaker
In a bar shaker, you will add 3-pieces of ice, rum, tequila, cherry cordial, and silver dust. Then, shake it to combine all the liquors.
Step 3: Top it off
Pour your shaker ingredients into your glass of ice and top it off with the sprite.
