What is The Circle TV Show?

If you are wondering what exactly is The Circle? Let us try and break it down the best we can. The Circle is a reality show that first came to light on Netflix in January 2020. It’s based on a British TV show with the same name.

Basically it’s a social media game, yes social media! A bunch of players live in separate apartments within the same building, but are completely isolated from one another. They never get to see each other or talk face to face until the very end of the game. Everyone communicates via a specially-designed social media application called The Circle that includes a profile, group chats, private chats, and games on occasion.

Hashtags

Every player speaks out loud when texting so you hear a lot of “Hashtag Circle Fam Forever” ( #CircleFamForever.) So you may be thinking, what exactly is the point?

Well, it’s to see if you can become the most popular without even meeting, the twist is people pretend to be other people aka catfishing. So you want to block those players when the time comes. Every few days all the players will secretly “rate” the other players from first to last place. Their average ratings will be revealed to all players after.

The top two become influencers, which means they decide who gets eliminated that night or “blocked” as they call it.

#Blocked

Once a player is blocked they leave the show. They can at that time meet one player in person and leave a video for everyone, this is when all the players see if they were real or not. Often the game will add random new players throughout just to mix things up.

It’s a funny show and you should definitely check it out. It’s often compared to Big Brother and MTV show Catfish. You can catch all the seasons, including other countries’ versions on Netflix now. #Watchit #Netflix

Mocktail Version

If you are #NotDrinking or having guests that won’t be, we suggest making some mocktails! This cocktail calls for Hypnotiq and Smirnoff mixed berry for the alcohol portion, since both of these are vodka based we suggest tonic water or soda water as a replacement. Both have fruity flavors in them so mixed berry juice would be a great substitution and increase the fruit juices already listed a bit to make up for the flavors found in these, adding a dash of lemon juice will add some sourness needed as well. If you would like to get a closer taste to vodka you can buy non alcoholic vodka in stores that would work great. Lastly, Garnish! The best garnish for this drink is cut up limes (that look like Circles of course) and Maraschino cherries are also recommended! #Mocktails #DrinkUp #CircleFanForLife #Enjoy #HappyDrinking
