This caramel apple mimosa is like a nostalgia trip to the fair in cocktail form! You’ll love the sweet, candy apple flavored taste of this enjoyable drink any time of the year. But who can deny how perfect it is for a fall themed drink this Thanksgiving? Make these sweet and sour mimosas your next favorite fall brunch tradition!

Delicious Caramel Apple Mimosa

This drink reminds me of a caramel candy apple in a glass. It’s like a nostalgic drink that warms you up with some effervescent dry prosecco, combined with the sweet taste of caramel apple cider. Trust me when I say it’s just as good as it sounds, it’s like a sweet treat you can savor over a Thanksgiving brunch just as they turkey is going in. Now that sounds like a fantastic way to put dinner on!

Is This a Simple Cocktail to Make?

Absolutely it is! You can whip it up any day as long as you’ve got the right ingredients ahead of time. While it does take a little bit of prep, it’s hardly takes any time at all before it’s finished. Part of it involves prepping your glassware with a really unique kind of rimmer.

In this case you’ll be using sanding sugar and spoon able caramel topping. That’s right, these delectable toppings put this mimosa on the same stage as some dessert cocktails, although you can enjoy it in the AM totally guilt-free! (At least, we won’t judge!)

What’s the Best Glassware to Serve These In?

Regular mimosas come in everything from red solo cups, to champagne flutes and Bordeaux glasses. While these are all totally acceptable serving methods, this mimosa calls for something a little different. It’s a heavier bodied drink that a typical juice mimosa, as such you’ll find it goes perfectly in a whiskey tumbler! You can go for simple but elegant on this one, and the cocktail will do the rest of the talking.

Ingredients Needed:

Servings: 6-8 glasses (per bottle of Prosecco)

  • Bottle of Prosecco (I used Beletti Extra Dry Prosecco, but you could also use Champagne)
  • ½ gallon of Caramel Apple Cider (available at Harris Teeter and Walmart in the produce section with chilled juices. If the Caramel flavor is not available, regular spiced Apple Cider can be substituted)
  • Jar of Caramel Spoonable Topping (I used Trader Joe’s Fleur De Sel Caramel Sauce, but Smuckers also makes a spoonable caramel ice cream topping available at most grocery stores)
  • Red sanding sugar
  • Optional: variety of apples for garnish
