Creating Your Sparkling Prosecco Margarita

This Margarita is sure a show stopper with three types of alcohol your taste buds will be very pleased. The Prosecco brings that perfect dry, light-bodied, and bubbly flavors with a touch of fruit to your margarita. Triple sec adds that nice touch or orange flavors with a bitter taste. Lastly, the tequila add that’s sweet/bitter after taste we all have grown to love!

What goes best with tequila? Why lime of course. Splash some lime juice and garnish with limes and you have the perfect Sparkling Prosecco Margarita!

Can You Use Other Alcohols?

Absolutely you can! If you are looking to sub out your tequila you can use vodka, gin, and even rum. We suggest using white rum for this particular drink. Play with the flavors and decide which one you enjoy!

If you are looking to sub out your triple sec you can use any orange base liqueur in its place or you can even try another fruit based liqueur. If you want to skip another alcohol all together for this recipe you can replace it with orange juice and a splash of bitters.

Lastly, You can use another type of fruit bubbly wine if you wish. We just highly recommend sticking with a bubbly wine for this recipe since that extra bubbliness is what makes this recipe an instant classic.

Can You Make it a Slushy?

If you love a good slushy margarita you are probably wondering if this recipe works as a slushy, of course! Pretty much any Margarita can be turned into a refreshing slushy!

For this one because it’s mostly alcohol based you will need a good blender to crush up your ice to turn it into a slushy, or a Margaritaville if you happen to have one. You can also freeze your lime juice if you wish.

Once your ice is crushed up fine, in a separate glass mix all your liquids together, then add to your crushed ice!

You will have a delicious slushy style margarita to enjoy!

Sparkling Prosecco Margarita Recipe

Ingredients

• 2oz Prosecco
• 2oz Tequila
• 1oz Triple Sec
• 1oz Lime Juice
• Lime Slice (garnish)
• Margarita Salt
• Ice Cubes

Directions

1. Take a lime wedge and coat the rim of each glass with lime juice.
2. Dip the rims of each glass into a small plate of margarita (coarse) salt.

3. Add ice cubes to each glass.

4. Pour in the Prosecco, tequila & triple sec.

5. Add lime juice.
6. Stir and garnish with a lime slice.
