Create Your Own Lifesaver Candy Jello Shots

These sweet and tasty Lifesaver Jello Shots are the perfect backyard party treat. To us they scream summertime! Although you can obviously make these anytime of year.

Anytime you can mix alcohol with Jello we are all for it, and this one uses one of our favorite flavors: Cherry!

What makes cherry Jello even better? Why Cherry Vodka and Grenadine of course! These flavors mix so well together.

Throw on a gummy Life Save and you have yourself a winning jello shot!

For our recipe we used a cherry flavor gummy Lifesaver but you can mix it up and use the other flavors as well. You can also consider adding some whipped cream on top as well if you really want to fancy it up.

Can You Make Other Flavor Combos?

Absolutely! For our Jello Shot recipe we used Gummy Lifesavers so if you want to use those consider making other flavor combos inspired by their flavors.

Lifesavers gummies have five sweet flavors: cherry, watermelon, green apple, strawberry, and orange.

If you want to make one themed around each gummy consider the following:

• Watermelon Lifesaver with Watermelon Jello, Watermelon Vodka & Grenadine liquor
• Green Apple Lifesavers, Green apple Jello with Apple Vodka & Triple Sec
• Strawberry Lifesaver, Strawberry Jello with Strawberry Vodka & Grenadine liquor
• Orange Lifesaver, Orange Jello with Vodka & Triple sec

As you can see it’s a super easy change to make other flavors. You can use Grenadine for all or you can change it up with triple sec or other fruit based Liqueurs. This would be personal preference.

If you can’t track down a certain vodka flavor you can easily go with regular vodka or you can add a splash of fruit juice based on the flavor.

Recipe For Lifesaver Jello Shots

• Yield: 12 – 2 oz condiment cups
• Prep Time: 5 min
• Chill Time: 2 hours
• Total Time: 2 hours 5 min

Ingredients:

• 1 box Cherry Jello Mix
• 1 cup boiling water
• ⅓ cup cold water
• 1/2 cup chilled Cherry Vodka
• 1/2 cup chilled Grenadine liquor
• 12 2 oz snack cups
• 1 box Lifesaver Jelly candies

Instructions:

1. Slowly add boiling water to the Jello mix in a medium mixing bowl.
2. Whisk until jello is dissolved.
3. Add the cold water and liquor to the Jello mix.
4. Whisk until combined.
5. Pour into 2 oz snack cups.
6. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
7. Garnish by adding a Lifesaver gummy on top.
