Making Your Long Island Iced Tea
This boozy Iced Tea is pretty easy to throw together and makes an excellent drink to serve when having company or just enjoying a good book in your backyard. It’s actually surprising how many different types of alcohol go into creating one of these bad boys. Believe us every ounce counts and they all work very well together. Use your favorite coke product (If you are more of a Pepsi fan feel free to use it) and throw in some lemons, simple syrup, and some lemon juice. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Lets Make It a Slushy
Who doesn’t love a good slushy? Basically any drink can be turned into one by simply crushing lots of ice (Blender works best) or by freezing some ingredients ahead of time. For this particular recipe you can place your coke product into a freezer a head of time. Best to pour some into a container before freezer as they can expand. This will help create a delicious slushy texture! If you are lucky enough to have a slushy machine that have recently become more popular definitely use it!
Long Island Iced Tea Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 ounce tequila
- 1/2 ounce vodka
- 1/2 ounce white rum
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- 1/2 ounce gin
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- lemon slice
- ice cubes
- Top with Coke
Directions:
- Add ice into a glass.
- Pour in the tequila, vodka, white rum, triple sec, gin, simple syrup, and lemon juice.
- Top off with Coke.
- Garnish with a lemon slice.
