Can You Make it a Mocktail?

Of course! Pretty much every cocktail can be turned into a mocktail.

You will need to omit your spiced rum, blackberry brandy, and Cointreau. These can all easily be replaced in your drink so everyone can enjoy.

For replacing your spiced rum we suggest a simple change to coke or Pepsi (depending what you prefer). Don’t worry about the spices if you are making it for younger kids. You can add a dash of vanilla extract or use vanilla coke if you want to have a little spice.

When it comes to replacing your blackberry brandy we suggest just replacing it with more juice, this will depend on your taste preference, add more berry juice or pomegranate juice.

Lastly for your Cointreau, which is an orange flavor liqueur we suggest using orange juice. Use the same measurements as the regular recipe.

This will create a very fruity but tasty mocktail everyone can enjoy! Don’t forget to garnish!

Cocktail Alternatives

There’s a few alternavites we can throw at you! For starters you can use any orange liquer for this recipe, it doesn’t have to just be Cointreau.

You can also use regular brandy instead of blackberry brandy if you are unable to track that one down.

For your juices you can really use any fruit juices if you have a preference, we just recommend taste testing before making a large batch like this recipe makes.

Lastly, you can use frozen fruit for inside your drink instead of fresh fruit. Often we have this on hand in our freezers. It works great as an alternative for ice as it wont water down your drink while keeping it cool! It will also slowly infuse more berry flavor, total win!
