Lets talk RumChata for a moment, if you aren’t super familiar with our main ingredient don’t be embarrassed. It’s not as common as classic Rum or Baileys often found in fall themed drinks. RumChata is a Caribbean rum-based cream liqueur flavored with cinnamon and vanilla, in this case we are using the pumpkin spice version so of course it also has pumpkin and spices in it. It’s a great alternative to the basic liquors you often see in shots. Combine RumChata with pumpkin pudding mix and you have the base for our tasty delight. Pumpkin Pudding Shot Alternatives

If you have a hard time tracking down pumpkin pudding mix don’t worry! You can easily substitute with butterscotch or vanilla. To add that extra pumpkin notes simply add a spoonful of pumpkin pie mix from a can OR use 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice, which you already have for this recipe! This will help bring those delicious flavors forward. Taste test before making a large batch as you may prefer Vanilla or butterscotch or the other way around. You can top off your shots with anything really, if you prefer different candies or no candies. Feel free to experiment and get creative.
