Substitution Ideas for This Recipe
When it comes to sparkling water for this recipe you can buy or if you have a sodastream make your own!
Fresh Pineapple Alternatives
If you aren’t able to get fresh pineapple to cut up for this drink and make your puree, you can buy frozen pineapple or pineapple pieces in a can, make use of the juice from the can and add that as well! Both options will add the flavor needed! Pineapple juice is also a great option as well if you would rather skip pureeing all together. If you want it to have a thicker or slush like texture just blend up some ice.
Garnish
To make it even more tropical you can add some maraschino cherries to your drink, because cherries make everything better! Add some whipped cream on top, because what drink isn’t better with some whipped cream on top.
Make it a Tropical Pineapple Mocktail
Turning our Tropical Pineapple Spritzer into a mocktail isn’t hard to do at all!
Rum: Omit your coconut rum for coconut water. This will keep the nice coconut taste in your mocktail.
Vodka: For replacing vodka we suggest soda water. It won’t have the same taste but it creates a nice fizzy taste everyone will enjoy! If you want to keep the taste more true to the taste, find some non-alcoholic vodka and white rum and use that, adding some coconut water still. You can typically find non-alcoholic drinks in your local grocery store, most liquor stores, and even online.
Ensure you garnish your mocktails and serve with lots of ice! Enjoy!
