Escape to Barbieland With This Barbie Cocktail Recipe

Are you a Barbie girl, living in a Barbie world? Or are you more of the “great Kenergy” type? Either way, life’s fantastic over here in Barbie’s dream house. And what better way to celebrate than with a Barbie inspired cocktail?

Trick question, there isn’t! This Barbie cocktail is a go-to for Stereotypical Barbie’s death-thought-evoking home parties and has President Barbie’s seal of approval (probably). Either way, it definitely reminds me of Barbie – and closely resembles the very sweet speciality cocktail my partner ordered when we saw the Barbie movie premiere.

Let me save you $18 a drink pals: make this delicious Barbie cocktail right at home. It’s easy!

What Goes Into This Sweet and Fruity Barbie Cocktail

This drink is sweet and inviting, just like Barbie! It’s a perfect summer drink, but honestly you could enjoy it any time you’re looking for a little cocktail fun. It combines several different juices, peach schappes, vodka, and grenadine – a winning combo for anyone in your life who enjoys fruity mixed drinks.

You don’t even need to be a Barbie fan to enjoy this one!

Besides the ingredients, you’ll also want to have ice, a jigger, and a cocktail shaker on hand to make this one. Trust me, it’s worth the extra effort.

Once you’re done, garnish with a lemon slice and any other cocktail garnishes you have on hand. We served ours in stemless wine glasses, but you could make this is a highball glass too.

Kids Involved? Make it a Barbie Mocktail With This Easy Swap

I admit that I’m a terrible parent, ok? Anyway, my 10 year old is obsessed with both mocktails and the Barbie movie, and I just had to give her a taste of this super sweet drink. To make it kid friendly you’ll need to remove the alcohol (obviously) and swap it with something comparable.

You can switch the peach schnapps with any other peach juice you have on hand, but you’ll also want to change out the vodka too. I strongly recommend just cutting in 2oz of water; otherwise this drink is way too sweet – even for kids.

Soda water or 7-Up (regular or diet) would also work, but you should stir that in after shaking together the other ingredients so it doesn’t go flat. You could also top up the soda a little more to give it more volume, since we all know kids don’t really get the whole sipping thing.

Besides kids, this mocktail is also great for all the pregnant Barbies in your life. (Let’s not talk about that part of the movie, though.)
