Look, we’re not all somolies here. Not everyone needs to have the perfect wine glass depending on if you’re drinking a Chardonnay or Riesling, we just want to drink a glass of wine. Sometimes, if you’re like me, you might also want that wine to be delivered in a type of glass that can’t be spilled. That’s why it’s my mission to give you the best wine sippy cup reviews!

The first time I really got introduced to the idea of adult beverage sippy cups is when I wen to the ballet. If you want to take your drink in they give you a cup with a lid. Genius! Now when making a mixed drink that I need to be a bit more portable I make it in my coffee travel mug.
The thing about wine, though, is it does taste better in a wine glass. They’re designed that way for a reason! So if you’re a big wine drinker you’ll definitely want to invest in a good wine sippy cup so you don’t have to worry about spilling… Because there’s nothing worse than spilled wine!
Where Would You Use a Wine Sippy Cup?
If you’re a little more classy than I am then answer to this is a little more thoughtful than “anytime you’re drinking wine”. I mean really, if you have your wine in a sippy cup it won’t matter if you have a little too much and accidentally tip your drink on the rug.
Wine sippy cups are great accessories to bring anywhere a traditional wine glass just won’t do. My favourite places are backyard parties and BBQs where I might want to protect my drink from the outdoor elements (mostly bugs), camping trips where I’m sitting by the fire, by the pool when I don’t want to spill my drink or break a glass, and on hiking trips or picnics. Really, anywhere you want something that’s spill proof, closed-topped, and won’t break is the place to bring these handy beverage containers.

But seriously, there’s no shame in using these all the time. Especially if you have kids or pets in the house who might knock over your drink. (Or even just to save you from yourself.)
Goverre Portable Stemless Wine Glass
What I love about this stemless wine glass is that it’s made of thick glass, not stainless steel. The rubber silicone it’s wrapped in comes in different colours. It makes gripping easier and helps keep the glass safe just in case this wine sippy cup takes a tumble. Not only is it dishwasher safe (which is super convenient), it also holds half a bottle of wine! I also love that you can drink right from the lid, no straws required.
Pros:
- Dishwasher safe
- Made of glass
- Holds ½ bottle of wine
- Doesn’t leak
Cons:
- Doesn’t hold temperature as well as other wine glasses (and can’t be chilled)
- Made of glass so could still break if dropped
- Can be tricky to get a good seal
BrüMate Uncork’d XL 14oz Wine Glass Tumbler With Splash-proof Lid
I might have chosen to include this wine sippy cup based on the “glitter mermaid” colour option, but it’s also a great wine tumbler! It’s triple insulated so your chilled wines stay cool and reds don’t get too warm. Since it’s made of stainless steel, it doesn’t sweat so you don’t need to worry about condensation. The plastic lid seals when you’re not using it, but opens easily for a sip. I also love how much this holds, so you’re not always running back and forth refilling.
Pros:
- Lots of cool designs available
- Keeps your wine’s temperature
- Holds a lot of wine
- Won’t break
Cons:
- Lid could be better
- Although the stainless part won’t break, the lid is hard plastic and could crack
- Not dishwasher safe
Amzyt Wine Glass
If you’re looking for a wine sippy cup that’s like a traditional wine glass, this is perfect. This stainless steel wine glass holds up to 14oz of wine and can be sealed with the included plastic lid. For an extra “sippy” experience, it also includes a stainless steel straw and brush so you can sip away. After you’re done it can go in the dishwasher, which is nice.
Pros:
- Unbreakable (except plastic lid)
- Has a stem if that’s your preference
- Insulated and keeps your wine cold
Cons:
- Paint might chip after extended use
- Insulation not as good as other brands
- Finish is a bit slippery and tough to grip
W&P Portable Porter Wine Cocktail Glass
Another great glass option, this one is made from clear glass wrapped in a protective silicone cover. I absolutely love the design and style of this stemless wine glass, which is perfect if you want a glass wine sippy cup in your life. The leak resistant lid slides open and closed for easy sipping, but no spilling between drinks. Since it’s made of glass instead of stainless steel for a more authentic wine drinking experience.
Pros:
- Stylish and modern glass design
- Lightweight and comfortable to hold
- Silicone is easy to grip
- Made of glass so it can break
- Not completely leak proof so you need to be careful transporting (but will still save your drink when tipped)
- Pricey for what you get especially with the non-leak proof lid
DinerGirl – Plastic Wine Tumblers with Lids
I can just imagine how much fun a set of these would be a backyard party or bachelorette! They’re designed to look like those insulated plastic tumblers, but with an entire wine glass inside. Each one holds 10oz of wine and is made entirely of plastic, if that’s your thing. The lid is only leak-resistant though so don’t throw this in your bag.
Pros:
- Made entirely of plastic
- Fun design
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- Won’t break like glass, but this type of plastic can still crack when dropped
- Doesn’t feel like you’re sipping from a wine glass because of the shape
- Not very high quality/durable
YETI Rambler
YETI is kind of the trusted brand when it comes to insulated stainless steel travel containers. Everything about these stainless steel wine cups are designed to be durable and last, which does come with a slightly higher price tag than other brands. It’s worth it though; these double wall insulated tumblers keep your drinks warm or cool all day long and are dishwasher safe. All that being said, I included it on this list because it’s a quality product but these YETI wine glasses don’t come with a lid and aren’t a true wine sippy cup.
Pros:
- Very durable and high quality
- Keeps your wine at a desired temperature while your drink
- Won’t break when dropped
Cons:
- No lid! So it’s not easy to transport and might spill
- Not a true wine sippy cup, but still good for outdoor use
- A bit small
Stainless Steel Wine Bottle and Tumblers
Although these tumblers really aren’t doing much different compared to other brands, I had to include them because they also come with a stainless steel wine bottle. This is a perfect set if you’re looking for a gift idea or want something to take on a picnic or other outing for two. Or to take along to an outdoor gathering like a BBQ or camping trip when you don’t want to worry about any glass breaking, including the wine bottle.
Pros:
- Great value set for two
- Includes a stainless steel wine bottle
- Won’t break when dropped
Cons:
- Lids aren’t completely leak proof on the glasses
- Not great quality compared to other similar products
- Outside coating (colour) doesn’t seem to be durable enough for regular use
What is The Best Wine Sippy Cup?
With all these choices, how do you decide what the best wine sippy cup is going to be! To be honest, most of these choices will keep you enjoying outdoor wine all summer long. But just like you have a favourite wine, you also need a favourite wine sippy cup.
My choice is the BrüMate Uncork’d XL 14oz Wine Glass Tumbler With Splash-proof Lid. And not just because of the cool designs, although they’re a bonus. This wine tumbler is the perfect size so you don’t need to keep refilling when enjoying outdoor time with friends and family.
Not only that, I absolutely need the kind of wine glass that can’t be broken by pets, kids, or my own clumsiness. Stainless steel wins out over glass or acrylic in that regard. It also keeps your wine insulated and temperature stable for longer than other types of glasses, perfect for a hot summer day.
I don’t mind that it’s not made for the dishwasher because handwashing this cup doesn’t really take long. Sometimes the lids don’t seal correctly, although they’re supposed to be spill proof. For me, that’s not a big issue (just fill it when you arrive at your destination), but it does prevent spills enough that when tipped it doesn’t go everywhere.
So those are my best wine sippy cup reviews, all of which are great options depending on your preferences and lifestyle. Now order yourself one in time for summer or just because and head down to the liquor store to it pair with your favorite bottle.
