What Kind of Apples Should I Use?
For this recipe, I used regular red apples to garnish my cocktail with. However, if you want more of a sweet and sour taste, you can use green apples. When it comes to the type of apples, I personally like Fuji or Granny Smith apples. No matter what apple you use, this drink is sure to be delicious.
Maple Syrup Substitute
If you are looking at this recipe thinking shoot I don’t have any maple syrup, there are a couple things you can do if you have all the other ingredients. Instead of maple syrup, you could use honey, molasses, or corn syrup as a substitute. Keep in mind the flavor may be a little off from the original recipe. You can’t completely reproduce the flavor of maple syrup in a substitute.
If you really want maple syrup, you can make your own. Check out this Quick Recipe for Maple Syrup.
