Rum and vodka jello shots? YES PLEASE! These Midori sunset jello shot recipe are a must make for your next get together. They look cool but are super easy to make, perfect for impressing your guests.

Make Midori Sunset Jello Shots

Sweet melon infused liqueur of Midori mixed with lime, pineapple, and orange jello flavors make these jello shots so irresistible! Not to mention the added bonus of pineapple rum and orange vodka! The perfect party shooters for any occasion! Check out the full ingredients and instructions for our Midori Sunset Jello Shot recipe below!

How to Garnish Jello Shots

You don’t often see garnish on a jello shot but for these guys we do suggest you get a little fancy and have some maraschino cherries on hand and some lemon wedges. You can give guests the option to add or add them before serving.

Orange slices, pineapple slices, and even lime wedges also work since all three are in the drink itself.

We do find the cherries and lemon add some more flavor but you really can’t go wrong with whatever garnish you select. Consider slicing up a few options and leaving them next to your tray of Midori sunset jello shots so guests can add whatever they please. Enjoy!

Non-Alcoholic Alternative

If you are planning to have guests that don’t drink or under age guests consider making a batch of these jello shots without the alcohol. When it comes to replacing Midori it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Midori is a sweet, bright green liqueur that is flavored with Yubari and muskmelon. Yubari and muskmelon are both a type of melon, cantaloupe to be more specific. So for replacing this we suggest grabbing some cantaloupe and juicing it up! (if you are able to actually find cantaloupe juice go for it, usually health stores like Whole Foods will have this).

If that doesn’t seem to be an option grab some melon juice and use that instead, it won’t have the exact flavors but it will work. For replacing orange vodka and pineapple rum we simply suggest just using orange juice and pineapple juice. It will make a sweet tasty shot for those guests not wanting to drink or can’t!

Make sure you use different colored shot cups or a separate tray so you don’t mix your regular Midori sunset jello shots and your non-alcoholic ones.
