Vodka Alternatives

Lemon works well with many types of alcohol. If you are looking to add variety in your shots you can consider making these with white rum, tequila, and even white wine. Although we are huge fans of the vodka with the lemon, the alcohol mentioned above tastes great too and offers something for everyone, since some people aren’t fans of vodka.

Consider marking your different types of alcohol with different shot glass colors or garnish with a different fruit. Half a maraschino cherries, lime slice, or nothing at all.

Non-Alcoholic Lemon Drops

It’s always nice to have a non-alcoholic option when having company over. Just because someone isn’t drinking doesn’t mean they don’t want to enjoy a little jello shot (Alcohol free of course).

Simply remove the vodka and Limoncello and replace with ½ cup of soda water (replacing vodka), and ¼ cup of more lemon juice. This will allow all guests to enjoy this delicious jello shot! You can also purchase non-alcoholic vodka and use that instead as well.

It really depends what flavor you are going for, for adults not drinking this is a great option. However for kids, consider the soda water and lemon juice only.
