Halloween is a time for kids to have fun collecting candy from everyone around the neighborhood, but what about the adults?! Along with our Spooky Halloween Cocktails, these Boozy Halloween Gummie Snacks are perfect for an adult Halloween party.
In this recipe, you will place your boozy gummies in cups over toasted coconut. You can toast your coconut at any time during this recipe.
Coconut can be toasted in a few different ways. Toast it over the stove-top, in the oven, and even in the microwave. However, I personally think it is best when you toast it on the stove-top.
When using the stove-top method, you have a little more control. This is because you can keep a constant eye on the coconut. Frequent stirring will give you a more evenly toasted finish.
How to Make Toasted Coconut on the Stove-top
Using shredded, shaved, or flaked coconut, place your desired amount of coconut in a large skillet. Cook it over low to medium heat, stirring it frequently. When flakes are mostly golden brown, it is done.
Keep in mind that the coconut will brown faster if it is sweetened.
