Can I Get Drunk Eating Bourbon Apple Bars?
There is an old tale that makes us believe that alcohol is burned off when its been cooked. Well, that is not entirely true….
You won’t get wasted nibbling on a Bourbon Apple bar, but it is important to understand that food cooked with liquor or alcohol can still contain alcohol. In fact, you can be over the legal limit to drink and drive just by eating some of these bars depending on whether you ate earlier or not.
Some alcohol does evaporate and burn off when cooked, but not all of it. Therefore, when eating food that has been cooked in alcohol, you should always be cautious of how much you eat.
