When you make these Scrumptious Kahlua Cookies, you are going to have to hide these things like your life depends on it. This is especially true if you have kids because they see cookies and next thing you know you have kids walking into the walls. If you don’t have kids, but you have other adults living with you, now is not the time to share….unless of course you want to.
This recipe makes 22 scrumptious large cookies!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp espresso powder
- 1 tsp coffee extract
- 1/4 C cocoa powder
- 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- 1/2 C light brown sugar packed
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp Kahluah Coffee Liquor
- 2 C Orange, Red and Yellow M&M’s
How to Make Scrumptious Kahlua Cookies
Preheat oven to 350. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda. espresso powder and salt. Set aside.
In a standing mixer, beat together the butter and sugars until combined and fluffy. Beat in the egg, kahlua and coffee extract.
Gradually beat in the dry ingredients until combined. Fold in 1 C of the M&M’s.
Using a medium ice cream scooper, scoop cookie dough into hands and roll into a ball. Lightly press down onto the cookies into a thick disk.
Place a few more M&M’s onto the top of the cookie dough rounds. Repeat steps with remaining dough
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-12 minutes. Enjoy!
