Can you Order Wine Online in New Mexico?

New Mexico is one of the many states who allow for out of state wineries and suppliers to ship direct-to-consumer. If you’d like to receive wine shipments delivered straight to your door, the state of New Mexico allows residents who are 21 years of age or older to receive up to 2 cases of wine per month. At 24 cases a year, that’s a pretty generous provision for wine lovers!

While wine clubs are allowed to ship to New Mexico, they must have first received a direct shipper’s permit before sending you cases of wine. Not every wine club can ship to New Mexico, so we’ve carefully curated these lists of wine clubs to include only those who can ship directly to you!

Do They Make Wine in New Mexico?

The Rio Grande gives way to a treasure trove of wineries that call New Mexico home. Here, Franciscan monks planted some of the first grape vines that gave way to what we now know to be the New Mexico winemaking culture.

The Rio Grande services three different American Viticultural Areas located within the state of New Mexico where you can experience one of a kind winery tours, guided tasting sessions and of course the countless stories of those who craft the state’s incredible wines.

Here’s some points of interest, as well as wine-centric events for you to check out whether you’re flying into Santa Fe or Albuquerque, or just looking for something new to see or taste in the state of New Mexico! We highly recommend checking some of these out while you’re waiting on that next case of wine to arrive on your doorstep.
